Vacation (honeymoon) resort edit

Hi there!

Karim and I recently had our honeymoon in Europe (Island hopped in Greece, plus Mallorca and Madrid to see some family and friends). Although we couldn’t go to a friend’s wedding in the UK due to restrictions not easing up, we were so happy to have our postponed honeymoon. Next month we will have my family wedding in Brazil as our small wedding in Canada last year with Karim’s family and my parents didn’t include our friends and my big Brazilian family!

In order of how I wore them on the trip I uploaded photos above of some of my absolute favorite looks I wore while in Mallorca, Santorini, Naxos, Athens, Madrid, and Lisbon. Feel free to let me know what’s your fave! I’m loving trends like tie shoulders, smocked details, ruffles, a great print, neutrals, espadrilles, woven bags, white, and more. I also brought back some oldie but goodie looks and linked very similar currently available alternatives for you to shop. I’m also OBSESSED with the Greek designer Nema Resortwear and I bought her shell print light blue shorts and puff sleeve top, as well as a navy and gold maxi dress with the same seashell print that had me feeling like a Greek goddess. The boutique Alley Naxos (@alleyNaxos on IG) was so lovely to shop at and carries a lot of her pieces! Unfortunately the designer is not selling outside of Greece in stores or online, I contacted their PR team, but I linked similar looks (great wedding guest look ideas too not just resortwear) on the app.

Plaid Cape & Lounge Sets

Happy New Year! 🥂🎊✨🥳 I hope you had a great time celebrating. I put a reflective post up on IG with my thoughts on 2020. Let me know what your thoughts are I would love to know. I also posted about which New Years look I went with, and this matching cozy lounge set & slippers won over the sequin jogger and velvet heels look since let’s be honest it was a stay home kinda New Years! This adorable tartan plaid cape/poncho look I wore out recently to visit the grounds of Gilette Castle in Connecticut. They keep me warm and dry. My sweater is from Nordstrom and the cashmere is so soft. Finally, even the JCrew face mask is tartan plaid to match. My hat is JCrew factory as well.

The Look 2 Ways: Sporty & Chic

Hi there!

Isn’t this warm fall surge lately insane? So nice! I headed outside to shoot this look two ways. My photographer friend Prash and I collaborated at Toronto’s Graffiti Alley for some of these looks, the ones in the park were shot by my Hubby. Follow Prash on IG @blinking.lens. My goal was to style this new London Rag collection coral lightweight sweater as a casual sporty chic look with their black joggers and their cropped puffer jacket and then elevate it with black paper bag high-waisted slacks (recent Simons find in Canada and now ON SALE!) and an older black velvet blazer (also from London Rag and still available on the site. You might remember my red one from a past post). I love the way the nude heel adds a dressy office look that can be worn out to dinner/drinks, or you can throw on the joggers after work and your sneakers to head out to the gym after your work day! Additionally, I really love these London Rag black vegan croc print ankle booties which are super on trend with the pointy toe and block heel. Stay at home looks

Hi there!

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my new home of Toronto, and doing many different stay at home activities including Spell’s stay at home series, and other brands as I mentioned in my last post! I love the cooking classes (including immunity truffles, see my IG’s “isolation inspiration” highlight reel for more), exercise classes, skincare lives, and more.

One of my absolute favorite at home looks was a recent purchase from Vici Dolls called the “Positano French Terry Knit Pullover” and marching “Positano French Terry Knit Shorts.” I’m wearing the pullover in a small and the shorts in a medium (I’m a size 2 dress and 4 pant and I’m 5’6” tall). It’s so romantic and bohemian at the same time and I feel so cozy!

Miami & workout-wear! + promo code

Hi there!

I just got back from a lovely stay in Miami (who doesn’t have a great trip there, especially when getting away from the cold, amiright?) and I wanted to share some workout-wear and later some resort-wear I got recently!

I’m wearing Constantly Varied Gear leggings in all my looks above. They are a small business out of Massachusetts and they have great products! They are also made to last and fit a curvy and athletic shape well. I found the elastic to be strong in the stretch of the pants but it also hugs well and you feel sucked in like a good pair of workout pants should make you feel! Additionally, I’m loving that they stay up where they should during a high intensity workout or a stretch and tone workout like yoga. I’ve worn them for both and they pass my test! Finally, in my photos below I’m wearing a Free People movement set called the “genesis bra and legging” set in rose water. It’s a lovely soft stretch fabric that hugs you in the right places and is flattering. I love the scalloped detail on the bra and leggings too!

Happy workouts guys! It’s almost the holidays when I eat so much so I’m gearing up for that. Exercise also just makes me feel so good! I used to be a dancer full time so I still stay active nowadays whenever I can, whether I’m on a dance or acting project or working for my blog:)

Hi there!

Happy New Year! So it's that time of year where the holidays are over and it's cold and somewhat dreary in New York, but that doesn't mean we can't wear something fun, amiright? My latest trend obsession has been velvet. I have these great burnout velvet flare leg pants I've been wearing and I recently bought this 12thTribe long sleeved floral romper shown in the photos above. Because of the cold weather I paired it with warm tights, ankle booties, a chunky belt and my Celine Nano Crossbody bag.

Francisco and I took to the streets of Manhattan's Lower East Side to photograph the look against the Brooklyn Bridge on a cloudy day (which made the floral red and purple hues of the romper really pop).

Holiday Party Dresses and Can't Leave the House Without Items!

So it's the holiday season (wopee!!) and I'm not sure about you, but for me it's certainly the time of year I pull shiny things out of my closet. And party dresses.  All of my party dresses (appropriate for winter).  In this post I want to feature some of my favorite party dresses as well as can't-leave-the-house-without items to be party ready.  The first dress above is from Free People (my fave, in case you didn't see my Nov 12th entry).  I'm a Free People Me stylist (Lina7) and I just LOVE this brand's look, customer service, and free people me program.  

This dress is called the "Ginger Meadow Fit and Flare" dress, and I love the lace and beading on the top attached to a cushy deep red velvet skirt.  It's whimsical and vintage and has a victorian lush feel to it.  I feel like a character in Alice in Wonderland in it, thus the idea for the shoot in a magical garden I love to visit in Park Slope, Brooklyn.  Photography again by my talented man, Francisco Graciano.

Free People "Reflected Moonlight" dress, vintage shoes, Topshop faux fur jacket, and JCrew statement necklace.  Shot on the Gowanus canal in Brooklyn by Francisco Graciano.

In this second look photographer Francisco Graciano and I took to the streets of Gowanus, Brooklyn (or more specifically the Gowanus canal) to shoot Free People's Reflected Moonlight dress in nude and gold with the setting sun and water in the background. Also in this look are my vintage shoes, Topshop turquoise statement faux fur and JCrew statement necklace. I love a little sparkle around the holidays, and what better way to do sparkle than a metallic? I love how this dress contrasts nude with gold to make gold work like a neutral and match with almost anything. It adds a little festive flair to an outfit, and has you feeling glamorous.  I love the gold and black color combination which is why I went with my black heels instead of my favorite gold glitter peeptoe Louboutin heels featured in the photo below, which are very festive! I also styled this dress with a statement faux fur from Topshop, because a fun faux fur jacket makes an outfit look more glamorous and party ready! This outfit had me feeling like a rockstar.  Also at the back of my nude tights was a black seam going down the leg which adds a feminine and sexy edge to a party dress.

Can't leave the house without items...read below

Last but not least before embarking on your party adventure I always suggest bringing along my can't-leave-the-house-without items in your party clutch.  Stylist tape (shown above my Victoria's Secret fashion tape) to hold your dress straps where they should be, accessories like my Topshop earrings, Chanel powder to take down shine when you've been dancing away, travel perfume (I love Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel), Rosebud Salve lip balm, and a fun party bag like my Coach gold python clutch. In the photo I went with gold and pink accessories for my cousins' wedding in Brazil recently, to match my gold peeptoe glitter Christian Louboutins and pink silk Nicole Miller gown.
