Hi there!

Hope your holiday season is going well so far. Around these cold months usually resort collections debut with different luxury brands. My spin on a resortwear post this year is to make it loungewear too, as many of us are forfeiting that resort vacay for a staycation until some of this 2020 madness subsides.

I have posted about London Rag before, and my sponsorship with them (Car20 is my promo code with them for 20% off!) so with their recent batch of gifted items I got these gorgeous palazzo pants and matching seafoam block sandals with a tie at the ankle. Seafoam is one of my favorite colors and it’s so beachy. These pants can be dressed up or down. As I photographed them in the fall I styled them with my Vici Dolls puff sleeve long sleeve top. The pants will go so well with a tank or breezy blouse in warmer months! This is an easy breezy look and the stretch synched waist allows for a very comfortable at home look too. Loungewear but make it fashion! My accessories are oldie but goodie (& still available) Gucci bag & sunnies, and Ettika hoop earrings. Use my code Carolina10 for an Ettika discount!

The second look is a long Spell & the Gypsy Collective skirt I had been eyeing for a while and I snagged it on sale. It’s still available! Speaking of beachy this one is the seashell print (which I have the boho orange dress in of this mermaid chic print too but a different color you might remember it from the blog recently). I styled it with a tan bodysuit (options on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page for varying ones, I wear this staple piece a ton) and a faux leather moto jacket from Zara (I have two light pink moto jackets from Zara I’ve snagged throughout the years: a great piece and perfect for layering and transitioning seasons). They aren’t avail anymore so I linked similar ones on my LIKEtoKNOW.it, my fave of them is this. My booties I’m wearing are older but I’m linking similar ones I recently blogged about that are on SUPER sale at JCrew factory right now (the Rory Microsuede booties)! When I got them earlier in the fall they were quite a bit more. Ankle boots will never go out of style, and are so versatile with any outfit! My Rebecca Minkoff bag is linked on my LIKEtoKNOW.it too! I also posted to my “cyber week” Instagram highlight all my gift guides including a bananas sale JCrew is having which has been even better than cyber week. My fave pics of things I’ve gotten as gifts (or as a gift) recently and a couple more gifting inspo ideas is one of them.

Both looks above are linked in my LIKEtoKNOW.it page. Download the app to shop all my links there, and I typically tag alternative look-alike items too so you have options within that trend. London Rag and Vici don’t have a presence on @liketoknow.it yet.

Hi there!

Are you looking forward to your Labor Day long weekend? I have the perfect end of Summer beachy and nautical look for you. On a recent trip to Block Island I purchased this beautiful little nautical anchor dress from a small boutique on the main strip. The designer is Escapada. Nautical looks are absolutely everywhere for summer and can transition into fall beautifully too. My last look from Newport had the traditional white and navy stripes with a pop of yellow (which can be done with long sleeves jeans and a blazer or cute scarf once the weather gets colder). This week's look is more traditional with navy and pink anchors. We photographed on the water in Watch Hill, Rhode Island before hitting the beach. It's a simple beachy dress that can be dressed up or down.

I kept it casual with a pair of gold Maypol (made in Spain) espadrille flats that were a recent purchase from TJ Maxx. A gold espadrille is comfy, cute, and right on trend! I was looking for a pair like these all over and the Rochester, NY store had them but Manhattan had sold out. Jane Martin, store manager at the Pittsford Plaza TJ Maxx was kind enough to send the pair over to my closest Manhattan store so I could purchase them. That's amazing customer service! I will remain a lifetime Maxxinista for that.

My last accessory is one of my favorite Chanel bags I've had for a long time. You can never go wrong with a classic quilted Chanel and a gold chain strap. It will never go out of style and the resale value is high so these handbags are a great investment. I've sold older ones and put that towards new ones sometimes even making money. Talk about Maxxinista! I updated it with a black pom accessory bought at a small boutique in CT, but they are everywhere including the streets of Manhattan and H&M stores.

Enjoy your holiday weekend!
