Hi there!

We got away from downtown Toronto for a socially distanced trip to a lake a bit north this week and it was magical! We enjoyed making s’mores by the campfire, canoeing, biking, hiking, and going out to eat at a restaurant with a big open air patio. I missed going out for dinner date night so much! I added pics from the trip in my IG “Toronto” highlight reel.

Near the lake there were so many beautiful fields that I had to shoot my LoveShack Fancy “Stacy dress” (a recent Revolve sale fave, also avail on LSF’s site) in a field. The light was so pretty before sunset. I love LSF’s whimsy designs they are boho and girly and so much fun to wear. I can’t wait to get to CT to see my family and pick up my LSF x Target dresses I bought from the launch (they didn’t ship to Canada, sadly!)

Happy Summer Solstice!

Hi there!

Last weekend I went to the kickoff Polo match at the Greenwich, CT Polo club and got to hang out in the Audi VIP lounge which was really fun! I'll be there again this weekend with my boyfriend and family in case anyone wants to go! This Reformation look was my closing weekend of West Side Story dress and I'm completely obsessed with it. I love the peekaboo detail and stripes, which is right on trend! Also these nude wedges from Arezzo I got a while back in Brazil complete the look and elongate the line without being uncomfortable to wear in the grass. Nude wedges are a staple for summer and can be found at any shoe store!

This dress can also transition into fall nicely with a moto jacket or a cardigan and scarf! I will swap out the wedge for an ankle bootie then too:)

Hope you are all enjoying your end of Summer! I know I don't want it to be over so next week I'll be featuring a new company I started to work with and a fall yet still end of summer beachy causal look.

In my new flourescent pink Lilly dress with gold accents, Kate Spade "wish" gold bow espadrille wedges, and Kate Spade flourescent green purse (an outlet score)!

Hi there!

I hope you're having a fantastic summer. Summertime for me includes some flourescent colors and preppy accents for weekends away on the Connecticut shoreline.

In my photos above photographed by Francisco Graciano from my friends' Upper East Side gorgeous penthouse veranda, I styled my Lilly Pulitzer flourescent pink dress with gold accents with a gold espadrille wedge Kate Spade shoe. I also wore a Kate Spade flourescent green bag to make it a green and pink (Lilly's traditional preppy color combination) look that wasn't too on the nose. The Kate Spade bag was an outlet score, too! My gold earrings picked up more gold accents, and my hair was styled straight to add to the put togetherness of the look. The neckline of the dress is very 1960s, so I got my hair done with a slight hair flip on the bottom. Later that evening after dinner with friends Francisco and I went to the Joyce Theater in Chelsea to catch Rosie Herrera's dance company performing. For more of my fun nights out be sure to follow my fashion blog Instagram including the new "story" feature on @carolinasantosread.

Not only are flourescents fun and happy summer colors, but they pick up a tan beautifully and accentuate it.

Enjoy your fun in the sun!
