Hi there!

I hope everyone is enjoying a little vitamin sea this summer! I’m on a show contract in the Hamptons and trying to make time for the beach whenever possible. My current obsession is beach throws like the Lilly turquoise kaftan (recently blogged about: a score at Marshall’s), and my tan one with Pom poms that I was gifted from a friend. These beach throws are everywhere and so effortless for the beach and running errands.

I’m also loving a beach hat like the two pictured above! The “resting beachface” one is from Bohemian Groove on the Move (I love her store check her stuff out)! The white one that says “beach time” was from a boutique here in the Hamptons. They protect your face from UV rays and are perfectly beach chic!

Hi there!

I’ve been back from Miami a couple weeks but had so much fun photographing new looks there like this gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer turquoise kaftan, which was way less because I found it at Marshall’s!!! I am so happy Lilly is carried there now, and this was one of two beautiful new pieces I bought.

I styled it with the same straw bag from the last couple posts (also a steal from the Moroccan Imports store in Chelsea Market in NYC) and Havaianas flip flops and Gucci shades for a beach day. It is such a fun look with the gold embroidery and really comfortable cotton as well. Snag yourself one before they are gone!

Hi there!

I was able to recently have an end of summer beach day on Coney Island in Brooklyn, and this beautiful hoodie by Ocean Drive, a subsidiary company of Vintage Havana. I started working with this brand after discovering them at Christina's beachy store in Watch Hill, RI while on a beach day there. Christina's has the cutest fashion ever and it's always been a favorite of mine in Watch Hill. Be sure to check them out if you're ever in that area (and Taylor Swift's house lol).

I love how this sweater is comfortable and cozy while still being fashion forward with the striped neon pink and cream, beachy by design, and perfect for a windy day at the beach! I paired it with an oldie but goodie pair of H&M lace shorts and my Aldo gold berkenstock-style espadrilles sandals.

Happy Indian Summer like we are currently having in New York! I'm loving it!

Beachy Boho Free People

Carolina Santos Read

Hi there!

This is the last of my worn in Mexico while on Spring Break resort series, brought to you by this lovely Free People top, a new Poshmark score as well as the gold Jack Rogers wedges I styled it with. I also finished the look with an oldie but goodie pair of H&M lacy shorts.

Billowy boho tops like these as well as metallics and lace are super on trend for Spring, but frankly will never go out of style either. I love how this look can also transition effortless from day into night and has a beachy effortless chic to it.

Have you checked out PoshMark to either re-sell gently worn or new clothing and accessories or to buy? I absolutely love it! I recently attended the "PoshNation" fest in New York where I met the CEO and PR team who are lovely and fellow poshers. It's a great community and a lot of fun not to mention an easy way to resell and downsize you closet to make room for new fashion. Find me on there as "PoshLina7."

Hi there!

I thought I would continue the resort trend since it's that time of year and as it heats up we inevitably start to imagine ourselves at the beach, right? Maybe it's just me? Hehe.

This Lilly Pulitzer tunic is perfect for throwing over your bathing suit or wearing with white pants and sandals to go out on the town. The pattern and color are resort-chic and lightweight for a sunny day and to pack for travel. I styled mine with Havaianas flip flops and a Vera Bradley madras beach tote as well as my Ray Ban sunglasses.

Enjoy fun in the sun or plan for your next trip with a beautiful versatile tunic! Just don't forget your sunscreen:)

Hi there!

I love Spring Break and resort wear. We can finally let our skin take in some sunlight and salt water and let our hair down a little. I was lucky enough to have traveled to Hawaii (and Mexico) recently and while in Hawaii I visited Big Island (Kailua Kona) and Oahu (Honolulu)! I had a blast and loved visiting two little boutiques: Island Sweetie in Honolulu and Sugar Momo in downtown Kona.

The first look featires a romper which is currently on sale from Island Sweetie in downtown Honolulu in the Waikiki beach neighborhood. The embroidery and beachy look are spot on trend and so much fun to wear as a beach cover-up or casual look for Spring and Summer. I styled mine with flip flops and baseball cap over my bathing suit for lounging around the resort by day.

The second look was from the cutest store in downtown Kona on Big Island called Sugar Momos. They featured crystals like my gorgeous amethyst necklace and other gypsy boho clothing pieces and home accessories. I wanted to take everything home with me! My floral kimono (currently on sale) is also from there, and my shorts are oldie but goodie H&M conscious collection as well as the tank. My silver sandals are from a Tibetan store in New York City. This adorable shop in Kona will be moving and expanding to next door to their current location, and the owner has the coolest story. Don't miss out on stopping by when you're in the area!

Stay tuned next week for more resort looks!

Hi there!

Coming out of resort wear season and right into end of Spring / early Summer means sporting a cute sun dress. My favorite wardrobe staple sun dress is a white lacy number that you can accessorize with.

In this look (my dress is Express so it was a steal) I pair my white lacy halter dress with my Mexico tan, a great nude wedge (I went with my Arezzo ones from Brazil recently)  with nude handmade clutch and a gold shell earring (both from a boutique in Brazil). I also paired a boho colorful robe (also a steal from Forever21!!) over the dress to add color and texture and a tropical vibe since I was vacationing at a resort in a Puerto Vallarta, and at night on the marina there can be a little breeze.

A close-up of the texture and color of the boho robe and my shell earrings paired with the halter dress.

A white dress for summer can transition from the beach to going out at night, and you can't go wrong with a neutral palette, it matches absolutely everything. Add on your accessories to style it your way and have a little more fun with it. The best part about a tan is you need little to no makeup because to me natural beauty is so much more beautiful than an overly done-up face. I do love to play with makeup, but a beachy look is effortlessly beautiful and it requires less maintenance. For example my new lip obsession is the Burts Bees tinted lipstick line. It moisturizes with just a hint of color and leaves your lips soft. That and a pair of sunnies (with plenty of sunscreen) is all you need on your face at the beach!

Happy Spring:)
