Vacation (honeymoon) resort edit

Carolina Santos Read

Hi there!

Karim and I recently had our honeymoon in Europe (Island hopped in Greece, plus Mallorca and Madrid to see some family and friends). Although we couldn’t go to a friend’s wedding in the UK due to restrictions not easing up, we were so happy to have our postponed honeymoon. Next month we will have my family wedding in Brazil as our small wedding in Canada last year with Karim’s family and my parents didn’t include our friends and my big Brazilian family!

I’ve posted all these looks plus much exclusive content on my @shop.LTK app page. Follow me on there by searching for “Carolina Santos Read” under “influencer search” and you can shop all my looks including alternative looks should anything be out of stock, or just because I like to offer varying price points that are more affordable and similar as well. I won’t be posting quite as much on here going forward as most people follow my blog on Instagram as well as my LIKEtoKNOW.it app page instead, but I’m not going anywhere so feel free to email me through here with questions or DM me!

In order of how I wore them on the trip I uploaded photos above of some of my absolute favorite looks I wore while in Mallorca, Santorini, Naxos, Athens, Madrid, and Lisbon. Feel free to let me know what’s your fave! I’m loving trends like tie shoulders, smocked details, ruffles, a great print, neutrals, espadrilles, woven bags, white, and more. I also brought back some oldie but goodie looks and linked very similar currently available alternatives for you to shop. I’m also OBSESSED with the Greek designer Nema Resortwear and I bought her shell print light blue shorts and puff sleeve top, as well as a navy and gold maxi dress with the same seashell print that had me feeling like a Greek goddess. The boutique Alley Naxos (@alleyNaxos on IG) was so lovely to shop at and carries a lot of her pieces! Unfortunately the designer is not selling outside of Greece in stores or online, I contacted their PR team, but I linked similar looks (great wedding guest look ideas too not just resortwear) on the app.

I hope everyone is having a FABULOUS summer!
with love,

Hi there!

On a recent trip to Austin, TX my dear friend and talented photographer Sarah and I shot some Spring looks. Check her out on IG @sarah_uftring. You might recognize a few of these pieces from my last post, but styled new ways. I love little pops of color for Spring, and naturally florals and other fun prints.

In the first look above I am showing off my new dress that I got myself as an early birthday present from a little Texas boutique that had all the bohemian vibes and of course I spotted a rack of all Spell dresses, one of my fave brands. They do a lot of recycled materials and all compostable or recyclable tags and packaging which I love. The booties are still available and are so inexpensive and a great quality staple brown suede boot!

In the second look above I went a little more classic with my look with my pop of color spring long coat, which is so inexpensive! It comes in a few colors. I styled the look with the boho top I shared to LIKEtoKNOW.it already which is an inexpensive dupe of Spell the Aussie brand that makes all my boho style dreams come true. My high waisted raw hem ankle cut flare jeans are my fave jeans of this season, and my booties are still avail (I shared them a bunch over the holidays when they were first on sale). The look below it wearing my new brown warmer double breasted coat sold out so quickly after it went on sale. There are other colors available in it though like a beautiful light blue tone. My white tank top underneath and the same jeans and ankle boots make for an effortless classic look. The coat dresses up any outfit!

In the next look I kept the same jeans on and changed into my fave oldie but goodie cowboy booties (linked similar as mine aren’t available anymore) and a new teddy coat long shacket. It runs big so definitely size down if you don’t want an oversized fit. It’s so warm and cozy and funky! Perfect for end of winter into Spring. It’s on sale right now too!

Now for some really springy looks like my dress in the first look above. I love my Spell seashell skirt I got around the holidays in their last sale. It’s not available on the site anymore but I linked a similar one. As always check my @liketoknow.it page in the app for alternative brands and similar items at varying price points for every look I link. Spell makes gorgeous prints but so many companies are doing this right now! I styled the skirt with an older fringe vest and my bell sleeve stretchy top from Bohemian Groove on the Move, one of the best traveling boutiques (but you can always order through their website or IG and they invoice you directly and ship anywhere). It’s a small business owned by a badass female and I’ve gotten amazing pieces from her from time to time! The top I’m wearing from them is not available anymore so I linked a similar one that’s on sale. I finished off the look with my brown booties and fringe purse. The purse is on sale too!

In the next look I’m wearing my new fave cropped puffer jacket. It’s floral, it’s super soft and comfy, and it’s now on super sale and under $20! I have been wearing it so much. I’m in the same accessories and jeans from the look above. Honestly though, how perfect is this jacket?!

The last and final look is my oldie but goodie Free People floral print fringe kimono with velvet print. It’s older and I will wear it forever. I’m linking a similar one here. It makes me feel like one of my faves when I wear it: Stevie Nicks. The top is the same bell sleeve cropped stretchy top, and the same new ankle cut raw hem high waisted jeans I have been wearing on repeat. My cowboy booties will never go out of style and only get more comfortable as they get beat up and broken in. I linked a similar pair here.

Happy Spring! Enjoy the beautiful weather getting warmer as it’s now starting to do back home and not just in Texas, hehe.

Carolina

Hi there!

The upside of spending so much time at home is getting to wear cozy loungewear, amiright?! This post has everything from cute loungewear (which makes me excited to change from my pajamas to my workout clothes into these cute sets) to cozy looks for winter into spring that are real clothes, but still comfy. I’m on board for the cute cropped puffer jacket trend (the one I am wearing that is floral is one of my faves ever and super cute boho vibes). I’m also loving the shacket look, and the one I tagged is inexpensive and great quality. Shop all these looks on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page as well, or on here.

The first look is my matching knit lounge set in white that was literally $14 and is still available. I’m wearing a small and I’m 5’6” tall and wear a small top and a 4 pant (I’m a 2 or 4 dress size depending on the brand). It’s great quality for this price and I recommend it. The other white set from a past post that is also from this brand was a little cheaper material and much baggier so I wouldn’t recommend it as much. Nasty Gal has great sets for great prices but some of them run SO big and the material is cheap. Make sure you look closely at the pics before purchasing. I only share what I love -I’m not going to share something I don’t totally love with you guys. The slippers are linked here too, and I have all my Amazon faves I talk about in stories and posts linked on my Amazon shop or you can shop them on @liketoknow.it app so follow me there!

The second look includes the long knit cardigan I also threw on top of the first look set (it’s older and sold out from Nordstrom so I linked a similar one that is even better pricing). Alternative links are always on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page with varying options retailers and price points of what I wore! The knit joggers are SO comfy and warm and they are from H&M’s conscious collection which means it’s made from recycled materials. H&M always takes your used garments for recycling if you ever need to know of somewhere to drop off donations. My white tee is also so soft and I have a bunch of them they fit like bodysuits which are right on trend. The slippers are always a big fave of yours. I’ve bought these a bunch and wear them all the time!

In look #3 I’m in the same white tee, cozy fuzzy slippers, and knit joggers with an awesome Amazon find long cardigan that is such great quality and so affordable! I love the neutrals look as it’s always chic and this one has the fun cheetah print in neutral colors for a pop of a fun print. It’s a sweater dress cardigan, which I didn’t have one quite this long before and it can be worn to stay in or go out as any of these looks can!

Look #4 is another I’m loving and wearing often: the matching sweatpants and hoodie lounge set. It’s also from the conscious collection and the material is SO GOOD and soft. Super affordable, too. I’m posting a reel soon I made with ways to dress up the “current uniform” sweats set that adds a pop of color and fun to your neutrals (ie: a great blazer or long coat on top and accessories). See the pic below for the H&M spring long coat I just picked up that totally elevates the sweats and makes the whole look so chic! All the H&M finds have been on sale recently, on the US and Canada sites. My LoveShackFancy Superga sneaks made an appearance and my Gucci mule slides for this dress-up reel video too (I tagged second hand alternatives on LIKEtoKNOW.it also, since this is how I often buy a designer item if I go the designer route)! An accessory like my older (thrifted find but I found a similar one linked here) Chanel ice cube bag statement purse and great sunnies like my Gucci sunglasses instantly dress up an outfit too! My hoop earrings in all the looks so far are Ettika. My code carolina10 gets you 10% off!

Look #5 down on the photos is my Free People famous tunic dupe that is SO much cheaper and such great quality: another Amazon find! This sweater comes in tons of colors and is under $30! I styled it with my fave Nordstrom Spanx leggings and my fave moto boots (mine are a dupe for the ones I tagged, purchased in a small boutique in Paris a couple years ago). My double hoop earrings are also Ettika. The backpack is the Chanel Gabrielle and here’s a link to a second-hand cute version!

Look #6 is the cropped zip puffer trend but this one isn’t plain black like the London Rag one I shared before (they have some cute colors like grey and white on the site too, always use code Car20 for an additional 20% off that can be combined with any existing promotion), and instead is a soft sweater material and a floral print. This is a Forever 21 find and I’m obsessed with it. I love the bohemian feel and girly too. I paired it with older Free People joggers (linked alternatives on LIKEtoKNOW.it & one alternative here) and a fave white Adidas sneaker my Hubby got me a while back. I linked a similar one.

Look #7 of the photos above is the shacket trend. I gave that a go with this great one from F21 that is so affordable and great quality. It is a soft felt-like material and goes great as shirt or jacket. I’m in a small and it’s oversized and fits loosely as I want it to. I paired it with a black Nordstrom turtleneck and Spanx leggings as well as my fave JCrew rain boots as it’s been snowing a bit lately and the streets are slushy. My Chanel Gabrielle backpack (a second hand find from a while ago) is one of my faves too it’s so easy to wear and not fussy.

Finally, the last look above is my white teddy coat I shared in an older blog post last winter but I found similar alternatives, one of which is linked (but you can find more of them on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page). The one I linked above is on sale! I paired it with the same shacket in the pic above it (more shacket options on my LTK page too), my fave flare corduroy pants (comes in many colors), a band tee, and ribbed knit beanie as well as my fave moto boots (less expensive options linked on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page as well). My jewelry is Ettika & you can take 10% off with code Carolina10.

Hi guys!

If you’ve been following along on my Instagram you will see my eco journey (I created a highlight reel too) through stories and posts dedicated to reducing waste. I’ve always like to use clean products (skincare or laundry/cleaning products included there) but now I’m finding ways to reduce waste. Less plastic is a big part of that.

I’ve partnered with two amazing companies NetZero Company and Tru Earth. Both have eco laundry strips I was gifted which save tons of plastic laundry jugs from going into landfills, they reduce tons of pollution due to the lightweight shipping of this product (versus the heavy laundry jug alternative), and they are hypoallergenic and free of chemicals and dyes so it’s better for your skin, hair, and overall health. You also save money when you use dryer balls as I no longer buy fabric softener or dryer sheets. They are good for about 1,000 dryer loads! By the way dryer sheets are among the most toxic household items you will use. All kinds of chemicals are on those, isn’t that nuts?

Net Zero also gifted me a collapsible reusable straw with holder for my purse and I’m waiting to receive some other exciting products from both stores that I’ve been super excited to use so I’ll share more on my stories later.

Both companies have other zero waste products in their stores too! Things like reusable makeup wipe pads to eliminate cotton balls and wipes, reusable silicone ziplock style bags, bees wax wraps (a fave of mine that is reusable for covering food and won’t harm the environment), cloth grocery and produce bags, and much more. Use my code Carolina10 in each store for a discount. They are both small businesses, and they ship everywhere! Unfortunately with Tru Earth I won’t get credit if you just use the code. You also have to click this link first to shop their products (If you go with their stuff I so appreciate you clicking my affiliate link so I can get credit for introducing you)! Don’t forget to use Carolina10 to get 10% off of anything on their sites!

Let me know how you like the products once you’ve used them. Finding ways to reduce waste feels so good & you are doing so much good for the planet 🌎 ♻️ 😉

Hi there!

Happy New Year! 🥂🎊✨🥳 I hope you had a great time celebrating. I put a reflective post up on IG with my thoughts on 2020. Let me know what your thoughts are I would love to know. I also posted about which New Years look I went with, and this matching cozy lounge set & slippers won over the sequin jogger and velvet heels look since let’s be honest it was a stay home kinda New Years! I tagged alternatives of both looks on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page so you have plenty of options to choose from of my loungewear faves. Nasty Gal’s site is having a HIGE 90% off sale and they have an amazing variety of loungewear co-ord sets. I snagged another one (see me wearing it below, it’s also on LTK). Amazon has great options too. Follow me on Amazon to shop my faves lists, of which these slippers are featured in the “clothes and loungewear” list. There you have my whole grouping of items I’ve bought and swear by as well as some others I’ve taken note of to snag later. I even included home decor a lot of which was in my home posts a while back (lots of registry items I got are on there)!

This adorable tartan plaid cape/poncho look I wore out recently to visit the grounds of Gilette Castle in Connecticut. The cape is older but I linked many similar and varying options on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page. Download the app and shop all my looks easily there! I styled it with my JCrew Factory corduroys I’ve posted about on LIKEtoKNOW.it and on here (the JCrew sales are amazing also! These cords were about $20) and my Sorel winter boot faves (called the “Tofino II snow boot”). These ones aren’t heavy to wear at all like the Joan of Arc ones were that I had to return. They keep me warm and dry. My sweater is from Nordstrom and the cashmere is so soft. Finally, even the JCrew face mask is tartan plaid to match. My hat is JCrew factory as well.

Stay safe and healthy and practice self care as we ring in a new year:)

Hi guys!

I just posted all four look roundups on my @liketoknow.it page: download the app & follow me there to shop all my looks & I give alternative links there with more options for each piece than I can link here (price point variations, etc)!

My go-to fave textures I love for the holiday season are usually tartan (Scottish plaid prints which are so Christmassy), velvet, floral with velvet and darker colors for winter, and sequins! I love an excuse to wear sequins that isn’t just on New Years Eve.

The first look above is an older tartan maxi dress from Free People that I found alternatives to in my LIKEtoKNOW.it page, so you can choose your faves. Here’s a cute tartan dress I would style with a turtleneck underneath. I styled it with a black velvet blazer (London Rag has affordable ones, my code Car20 gets you 20% off!) and studded black boots for an edgier but elevated vibe. My fave festive gold star earrings and one of my fave Ettika necklaces finished the look for more glam. My code Carolina10 gets you 10% off at Ettika!

The second look above is a gorgeous older Free People velvet dress that I cherish and re-wear for special occasions. I found some gorgeous velvet dresses and linked them all on LTK and my fave one is this. I styled it with a black vintage suede heel which can’t be linked but I love my velvet chunky platforms. Linked my fave here. A black and gold festive tassel earrings finished off the look. Again more options on all items on my LTK page.

The third look is a floral Zara dress from a little while back that I also love to re-wear. Like the looks above, it too was featured on the blog in the past. I linked similar dresses on my LIKEtoKNOW.it profile and my fave is this. I styled it with chunky velvet platforms (so many good ones avail I linked more on LTK)! Tassel earrings completed the look and maroon tights which are so fab for the holidays to add a pop of color to a darker floral. Florals in the winter are better in darker colors so you don’t look like you’re dressing for June in December;)

Finally, a newer look I love for this year as we are staying in given the circumstances, and this is a perfect elevated loungewear look for home these holidays! The sequin joggers are from a small business I love to support (Bohemian Groove on the Move) but they are out of stock. I found them at a few retailers and linked one here! The sweater is an awesome Target find for under $20 on sale, and the slippers are too plus they are warm and fuzzy; I’ve raved about them before!

I hope you have a cozy beautiful Holiday season,

Carolina

Hi there!

Hope your holiday season is going well so far. Around these cold months usually resort collections debut with different luxury brands. My spin on a resortwear post this year is to make it loungewear too, as many of us are forfeiting that resort vacay for a staycation until some of this 2020 madness subsides.

I have posted about London Rag before, and my sponsorship with them (Car20 is my promo code with them for 20% off!) so with their recent batch of gifted items I got these gorgeous palazzo pants and matching seafoam block sandals with a tie at the ankle. Seafoam is one of my favorite colors and it’s so beachy. These pants can be dressed up or down. As I photographed them in the fall I styled them with my Vici Dolls puff sleeve long sleeve top. The pants will go so well with a tank or breezy blouse in warmer months! This is an easy breezy look and the stretch synched waist allows for a very comfortable at home look too. Loungewear but make it fashion! My accessories are oldie but goodie (& still available) Gucci bag & sunnies, and Ettika hoop earrings. Use my code Carolina10 for an Ettika discount!

The second look is a long Spell & the Gypsy Collective skirt I had been eyeing for a while and I snagged it on sale. It’s still available! Speaking of beachy this one is the seashell print (which I have the boho orange dress in of this mermaid chic print too but a different color you might remember it from the blog recently). I styled it with a tan bodysuit (options on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page for varying ones, I wear this staple piece a ton) and a faux leather moto jacket from Zara (I have two light pink moto jackets from Zara I’ve snagged throughout the years: a great piece and perfect for layering and transitioning seasons). They aren’t avail anymore so I linked similar ones on my LIKEtoKNOW.it, my fave of them is this. My booties I’m wearing are older but I’m linking similar ones I recently blogged about that are on SUPER sale at JCrew factory right now (the Rory Microsuede booties)! When I got them earlier in the fall they were quite a bit more. Ankle boots will never go out of style, and are so versatile with any outfit! My Rebecca Minkoff bag is linked on my LIKEtoKNOW.it too! I also posted to my “cyber week” Instagram highlight all my gift guides including a bananas sale JCrew is having which has been even better than cyber week. My fave pics of things I’ve gotten as gifts (or as a gift) recently and a couple more gifting inspo ideas is one of them.

Both looks above are linked in my LIKEtoKNOW.it page. Download the app to shop all my links there, and I typically tag alternative look-alike items too so you have options within that trend. London Rag and Vici don’t have a presence on @liketoknow.it yet.

Hi there!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’ve been sharing all of my Cyber Week deals on my Instagram including gift guides! The gift guides I shared include smaller gifts, gifts for her and him, current trends, coats and outerwear, and makeup. Many of the items I’ve posted about recently are linked too. To see the full details of these gift guides please follow me on the @liketoknow.it app as “Carolina Santos Read” so you can easily shop all the links on the shopping guides. I’ll also attach the guide photos below:)

I bought a new heavy winter coat for Canadian winter recently, by a vegan brand called Noize, linked here! I love this sustainable brands. There are other similar ones also linked in the LIKEtoKNOW.it post below (easily shopped on the app). I love their coats and it adds a lovely fashionable flare to a winter puffer coat. I styled it with my Madewell red jumpsuit from Nordstrom, and my Sorel winter boots.

I also got this gorgeous JCrew parka in the red color as a gift. This coat and all JCrew coats that are usually excluded from sales are now all 50% off with the code FRIDAY! edit: the code now is CYBER for Cyber Monday! I styled it with my black Spanx leggings from Nordstrom (currently 20% off on their Black Friday sale), my Vince Camuto moto boots, and a Target sweater that is currently on sale for just under $20! Shop my links here or on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app! I can’t wait to wear this coat for a pop of color to my look this winter. I am loving their Sherpa coat (in the gift guide below) too and might have to grab one. I blogged about my white Sherpa coat in the past which is no longer available, and this trend is here to stay.

I’ve attached my holiday shopping guides which are all on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page for you to shop my links with all the sales. It’s very easy to use in the app! Note: since I made the Tarte gift guide, the Cyber Monday new code for Tarte makeup is “OMG” for now 40% off the entire site and extra deals on gift sets too. Happy Shopping!

Enjoy your holiday season!

Hi there!

Isn’t this warm fall surge lately insane? So nice! I headed outside to shoot this look two ways. My photographer friend Prash and I collaborated at Toronto’s Graffiti Alley for some of these looks, the ones in the park were shot by my Hubby. Follow Prash on IG @blinking.lens. My goal was to style this new London Rag collection coral lightweight sweater as a casual sporty chic look with their black joggers and their cropped puffer jacket and then elevate it with black paper bag high-waisted slacks (recent Simons find in Canada and now ON SALE!) and an older black velvet blazer (also from London Rag and still available on the site. You might remember my red one from a past post). I love the way the nude heel adds a dressy office look that can be worn out to dinner/drinks, or you can throw on the joggers after work and your sneakers to head out to the gym after your work day! My code Car20 gets you 20% off on London Rag’s website.

Additionally, I really love these London Rag black vegan croc print ankle booties which are super on trend with the pointy toe and block heel. They were also sent to me with the pieces I mentioned above and you guys they are SO GOOODDD. I would size down as they run a little big (I’m usually an 8 and this 8 was a bit roomy). Again use my promo code Car20 for a 20% discount. I love how they finished the sporty chic look but with a bit of a dressy vibe. I honestly felt like Posh Spice leaving the gym and ready for a meeting.

My next post will include a resort wear look from London Rag that is so perfect for your next vacation but doubles as loungewear (so versatile)! Stay tuned!

Be sure to follow me on the @liketoknow.it app under “Carolina Santos Read” for all outfits linked and alternative options of the items in my blog posts (if I can’t find them on there but also just to give you guys other options to go with). Note: London Rag doesn’t have a presence on LiketoKnow.it so your best bet for their items is to shop their website with my links on here using my promo code. Happy Shopping!

Hi there!

I wanted to share a few on trend looks from my recent shoot with my talented photographer friend Brandon Gregoire (a few looks shot on my own), because they are looks I’m wearing on repeat right now. With the weather getting cooler but some days warmer, layering is always the best way to go so you can shed layers or add a layer depending on how cool it is that given time of day.

The first look above includes an oldie but goodie hat with a newer H&M mock neck sweater (I love the dusty rose color which I didn’t have in my sweater options) with big sleeves. It’s from the conscious collection which I always look for if I ever buy something from a fast fashion source. It is made from recycled materials! The corduroys were a recent JCrew outlet score, as well as the tan suede booties! They are both currently on sale too. Note: the second photo down doesn’t include those booties and rather older Aldo ones as well as an old pair of H&M skinny black jeans. On my LiketoKnow.it (download the app or just go to the webpage and follow me as “Carolina Santos Read”) I linked alternatives to those jeans and black booties that are currently for sale, at different price points! The earrings are Ettika (use my code Carolina10 for a discount on all Ettika jewelry)!

The second look includes a new favorite color blocking sweater from Target (later edit: now on sale!) that I am obsessed with! It’s a long cardigan style and so soft and warm. It’s so versatile as you can dress it up or down and it’s effortless. The color blocking on this sweater is also a huge trend right now (like the big sleeves of the last sweater I spoke about). I styled it with a tan tank bodysuit and those oldie but goodie black H&M skinny jeans (check out my LiketoKnow.it for great options for those!) I Earrings, necklace, and bracelet are Ettika (again use my code Carolina10 for a discount). Ettika pieces don’t tarnish and are so beautiful and well priced! They are based out of California and their pieces make such beautiful gifts too. The bag is Furla (I linked a current website calf skin one since my plastic one is only available at 2nd hand stores, like Vestiaire Collective, where I am linking one that is almost exact in another color. I also linked a Rent the Runway option on my LiketoKnow.it).

My third look includes a Poshmark score Donna Karan vintage never worn double breasted blazer with gold buttons. (I linked some great alternatives on my LiketoKnow.it and my fave of them on here.) I’ve been looking for a black blazer like it for some time and am so happy with this one! The white top underneath which you can see in the picture where I’m on the fence (no pun intended) without the blazer on is a new Vici Collection top. (My LiketoKnow.it account has similar options to it too!) The puff sleeves are really trendy at the moment and I just love this trend! LoveShack Fancy is doing lots of sweaters like this top but they are a big splurge. I finished the look with an older pair of Ralph Lauren jeans that I cut at the ankles myself, and my oldie but goodie super fave Aldo studded booties. Again there are new and available alternative options for all my older items on my LiketoKnow.it page so you can shop similar jeans and booties to what I have on! Earrings are Ettika (Carolina10 is my discount code for them)!

Finally, I shared another look I’m loving right now. You might remember my Vici Collection (Vici Dolls) rust-colored corduroy flare pants from a past post which are now sold out but I linked my fave alternative here and others on my LiketoKnow.it account. I Loving this color again this season, and I threw on a Blank NYC jacket I recently scored on Poshmark. It’s available on Amazon so I linked it here. I had it in black a long time ago and wore it to the point of ruin so I got it in this color. It’s so versatile with the vegan leather and knit material mix and multiple ways of wearing it, as shown. There are many of them on Poshmark still! Use my code PoshLina7 for $10 off your first Poshmark order if you’re new to the app. The hoop earrings are Ettika: my discount code with them is Carolina10.

Be sure to follow me on the @liketoknow.it app under “Carolina Santos Read” for all outfits linked and alternative options of the items in my blog posts (if I can’t find them on there but also just to give you guys other options to go with). Happy Shopping!

Enjoy this beautiful fall weather!

Hi there!

If you’ve been following my Instagram stories last week and this week, I’ve been posting a lot about these amazing Blooming Amethyst products. My code Carolina15 will get you 15% off sitewide. As always with brands I end up partnering with/being sponsored by, I am always a consumer and fan of them first! I met the founders of this amazing brand at an event in Los Angeles and quickly fell in love with this small company.

I’m a huge fan of organic and natural skincare products, and I love that all the ingredients are natural, simple, and made with essential oils and botanicals. They all smell insanely good! I loved the jasmine rose body scrub, muscle balm, (Hubby loved the beard oil I got him), and the lavender and eucalyptus hand sanitizers that I had bought previously. They sent me an amazing gift box with the botanical facial, citrus hand sanitizer, head eaze, floral goddess body scrub, Indian black soap, and rose water face toner. They are all pictured above and I’ll just give you some of my fave benefits.

From top to bottom of the photos: the botanical facial is made with barley lavender and oats and can be used as a mask or face scrub that moisturizes and unclogs pores, reduces appearance of dark spots, and makes your skin soft and glowy! The rose water toner tones and balances PH and controls excess oil. Helps reduce redness irritation and acne and I love it as a makeup setting spray too! The Indian black soap strips away excess oil softens and relieves acne rashes or other irritation. These are all for face:)

The floral goddess body scrub has rose hip oil and other flowers and essential oils, as well as Himalayan salt so it doesn’t just exfoliate your body while smelling amazing but it also helps control the skin’s PH balance, controls excess oils, strengthens and regenerates skin cells and tissue, has anti-inflammatory properties, and can help reduce irritated skin, acne, and eczema! It’s a miracle product.

Lastly from the last pic I was already in love with the hand sanitizers I had but the circus one is SO good, and my head eaze roll-on has helped when I have a headache and just generally want to roll it on my wrists temples and back of my neck for some soothing aromatherapy.

They have so many other wonderful products guys, check them out and use my code “Carolina15” for 15% off!

Hi there!

I recently tried out Goat Yoga at a lovely farm near us called “Haute Goat.” They also have horses and alpacas on site that we got to hang out with. Karim and I had a blast.

In the first look above my sweater is Vici Collection and my leggings Free People Movement which I’ve blogged about before-they are now on sale! They have similar pairs in their shop now! Once I was warm you’ll see my Sugarmat “pink polka chic bra” sports bra with the beautiful rose detail in the back! I absolutely love this piece. It’s still on sale too since I last blogged about it. My monogrammed “love affair” mat also makes an appearance in this class, which I’ve raved about before too. As always take 15% off Sugarmat products using my code “SugarCarolinaS.”

The Spell “seashell gown” made another appearance at the farm too. It’s another piece I’ve blogged about and just adore especially for fall because of the color I chose. It’s still available on their site and is now on sale! It’s flowy and perfect for summer transitioning to fall since it keeps you warm while still feeling breezy and effortless with a bohemian flair. My oldie but goodie LoveShack Fancy x Superga sneakers finished the look.

Hi there!

With the weather starting to feel chilly and more like fall, I really love cozy loungewear. I’ve included two looks I love that elevate your loungewear vibes. They are comfortable but different and a lot of fun.

The first look is a tie dye set from Vici Collection, where you can look stylish while wearing a super soft Beachy tie dye hoodie and jogger set. Note the link I included above is for other tie dye sets since mine is out of stock but there are plenty of similar ones available. The slippers are Amazon fashion! So comfy and with memory foam as well as the fuzzy goodness. Then the second look I call “loungewear but make it fashion” where you can be a tad extra while sitting at home on your zoom meeting. The pants are by my girl crush brand “Bohemian Groove on the Move” who founded their company out of an airstream which couldn’t be more cute and bohemian. She typically travels with the store (you can also shop online) but she is currently based in the Palm Beach, Florida area. You can also DM her on Instagram to place orders! The Bowie top is a second hand score off of Poshmark at my fave Posh reseller’s closet: Randi with “@rollingrackposh.” Join the Poshmark app to shop my Poshmark closet @poshlina7 and if you use my link to join you get $10 to shop with!

I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy! With all this added time at home these days I thought it would be fun to put together this edit.Who said you can’t get dressed up to go nowhere?

Hi guys!

If you’ve been following me for a bit you know I’m all about vegan cruelty-free skincare and makeup whenever possible, and I’ve been a fan of Tarte cosmetics for some time. I made the switch about two years ago and I’m so glad I did! I now have a 15% off discount link, so do click on it to shop your items and save yourself some money (or get an additional item with the savings, haha). Above are some of the products I recently picked up, as well as a couple of their products I’ve used before and really love like the shape tape concealer and the “lights camera lashes” mascara. The mascara doesn’t clump and gives you natural-looking long lashes. The other mascara they have has a different brush and goes on differently so it’s not my favorite.

The new products I tried were many shades of the “Quench Lip Rescue” which are a hydrating tinted gloss. They are very natural and not too much pigment and they keep your lips moisturized. Plus the packaging is to die for (especially if you’re an ocean-loving mermaid like me). I got the rose, coral, and the buff colors. I was already a fan of their color splash lipstick in the ocean line which you see in the blue packaging above. The shade I used a ton this summer is “weekender” which gives you a coral lip. Also the “escape” rose color is awesome for fall. “Weekender” without the gloss on top is in the second to last last photo I posted above! The last photo selfie was of me mixing the weekender color splash lipstick with the buff quench lip rescue!

Hope you love the products as much as I do. My discount link will get you 15% off any products! Check out my page on LIKEtoKNOW.it (download the app for easy shopping) for all my Tarte faves! I made a shopping guide collage with all the products I use and love (see image below). You can shop my links on my LIKEtoKNOW.it quickly and easily plus favorite them for future reference. As always I will update you when they are having sales like I did in my recent one below for cyber week!

Hi there!

One thing that I’ve enjoyed getting into a rhythm of but slightly differently in this pandemic is my workout routine. Now I do livestream workouts instead of taking classes, and occasionally I take class outside in a socially distanced safe way through a Toronto yoga group I joined! If you are in the GTA and want to join us feel free to send me a message in my “contact” section and I’ll send you more details. The IG for this group is @thruyoga. Check out some photos below from our inaugural class taken by a member who is also a photographer. In the photos above you can see some of this bohemian activewear I’ve been LOVING.

The first set with a black and floral print is by one of my all-time fave and go-to brands for boho chic: Spell Designs from Australia. This “Oasis set” is amazing and they do biker shorts in this print too! They now have a whole activewear line so check them out. I linked the 7/8 leggings above but this is the link for the “Oasis crop.” Spell has been using sustainable recycled fabrics for their activewear line and this makes me SO happy!

I also have the gorgeous Sugarmat pieces that I added above with photos from their site. This company is from Montreal, Canada but they ship anywhere. I’ve included some photos below from the yoga class I took outside wearing the bold ruby autumn legging! These leggings are high waisted with a cute ruffle detail as well as the gorgeous floral. I would size down a size since they run a tad big. I had to take mine in. I’m a size 4 pant and I got the medium and should have gotten a small. The Rose “pink polka chic sports bra” is absolutely darling. It runs true to size or a tad on the small side (I’m a size 2 dress and small top and the S size is great for me). Both looks have matching top or bottom in a set but I mixed and matched these. Both these pieces are currently ON SALE and I have an ADDITIONAL 15% OFF discount for you. Use my code “SugarCarolinaS” for 15% off sitewide with Sugarmat. I also have the “love affair” yoga mat and “pink pampas yoga mat carrier” (which doubles as a yoga strap) that I added photos of above. I always get compliments on this mat! Again use my referral code SugarCarolinaS for an additional 15% off discount without a purchase minimum.

Lastly, I am late to the party on the bike shorts trend but I’m loving this Free People blue and gold floral “high rise bike short” in the “Indian Summer” print I recently bought that I love. The material really sucks you in and it’s high-waisted: my fave. I paired it with an older Under Armour top above playing tennis with my family in Connecticut. The look of me in my living room taking zoom dance class includes the same shorts and the “Happiness Runs Crop” in the ice blue color also from Free People which is one of the comfiest crop top/sports bras you’ll ever own and has great stretch to it too! My earrings are Jcrew Factory. The pink biker shorts as the very last pic are from the CUTEST workout collab between LoveShack Fancy and Bandier. I love the floral activewear they did. I linked mine here and on LiketoKnow.it you’ll see some alternative options for my Reebok sneakers and Lilly water bottles and fleeces!

That’s it for activewear for now. I’ll be posting to my Instagram more photos in these items in the coming days and feel free to ask me any questions about fit as always.

Carolina

Hi there!

Karim and I have loved our staycation in various parts of our province of Ontario, including this gorgeous vineyard. It’s fitting that the dress is from a Canadian store close to us in Toronto (it’s a Canadian chain) called The Latest Scoop. I styled alternative look-alike options on my LiketoKnow.it also, follow me there! My dress is the “ribbed knit midi dress” and comes in 5 colors. They are having a sale on sale for an additional 20% off! It’s so easy breezy to wear and can be dressed up or down. I styled it with my “Greece White Leather” Steve Madden flats, which are perfect Hermès dupes! Use code Spring40 to get 40% off this style now. Steve Madden also has a Canada site so no encountering customs fees to have it shipped internationally, etc!

My gorgeous palm earrings are from the American brand Ettika. My personal discount code for them is “Carolina10” for 10% off! I’ve worn other pieces of theirs in previous blog posts, so I will post those couple photos below for you to see those jewelry items. More pics of Ettika pieces they’ve sent me and I wear nonstop are included in my “product faves” highlight reel on my IG. Lastly, the bag is Topshop and is on sale! There’s also a Topshop Canada (I picked it up at our local mall in Toronto). I love the cute shell detail. 🐚 I also linked look-alike bags on my LiketoKnow.it profile.

I’m obsessed with the varying landscapes of Ontario! If you look at my “Toronto” highlight on my Instagram @carolinasantosread.fashion or @carolinasantosread (blog or performer pages) you will see what I mean.

I hope you are enjoying Summer:)

Hi there!

I hope everyone is enjoying summertime. I was so excited when the Target and LoveShack Fancy Collab dropped, that I woke up at 3am and ordered some dresses. They are so inexpensive in comparison with LSF’s usual prices. All under 50 or 60 bucks. I linked the collab above as some dresses are still in stock and they are now on CLEARANCE! If you like the purple one I thought it was just a tad short for my taste so check it out in my Poshmark closet under Lina7.

These dresses are fun and flirty for summer and just so much fun to wear. I added my own belt to the all white dress, and my oldie but goodie LoveShack Fancy with Superga sneakers are styled with one of the looks. The pink mules are older Gucci and the Dr Scholls pink sandals are also a few years old. I wore them all recently in these photos on the Connecticut Shoreline.

Xo,

Carolina

PS some of these photos were taken by my talented photographer friend Brandon Felix Gregoire. Check out my Instagram where I’ve tagged his page if you want to see more of his work. He works out of the CT shoreline!

Hi there!

We got away from downtown Toronto for a socially distanced trip to a lake a bit north this week and it was magical! We enjoyed making s’mores by the campfire, canoeing, biking, hiking, and going out to eat at a restaurant with a big open air patio. I missed going out for dinner date night so much! I added pics from the trip in my IG “Toronto” highlight reel.

Near the lake there were so many beautiful fields that I had to shoot my LoveShack Fancy “Stacy dress” (a recent Revolve sale fave, also avail on LSF’s site) in a field. The light was so pretty before sunset. I love LSF’s whimsy designs they are boho and girly and so much fun to wear. I can’t wait to get to CT to see my family and pick up my LSF x Target dresses I bought from the launch (they didn’t ship to Canada, sadly!)

Happy Summer Solstice!

Hi there!

I am just loving the warm weather currently. With a few more businesses opening up, I feel as if my walks aren’t just for some socially-distanced fresh air but I can get things done and I’m not just exiting the house for air or a grocery run, so my style has reflected a happy sensibility while keeping it casual.

In this look I’m wearing an oldie but never-blogged-about-before goodie: my Spell City Lights top (sans print as my maxi dress I have blogged about before) with a pair of Zara embroidered jeans and my new London Rag bag and pink slides I was recently gifted for the blog. Get 20% off sitewide at London Rag with code CAR20! These slides are the perfect comfy casual “go on a walk and run an errand” sandals and my bag is so perfect for the time we are living in as I can disinfect the plastic easily when I get back home! The added bonus: I can find my keys and wallet since it’s see-through.

I hope everyone is seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. I know the nice weather is always a HUGE perk for me!

New Fave band tee & Promo code

Hi there!

I picked up this NastyGal tee showcasing one of my all time fave bands: Fleetwood Mac. Free People is also selling it in off white and black, whereas NastyGal has it in pure white and black. I styled my tee with my high waisted Madewell jeans from Nordstrom (a total fave they fit so well!) and threw on a red velvet blazer I was gifted recently from LondonRag! By the way London Rag has 40% off most items on their site currently! Get an additional 20% off with my code CAR20. Nasty Gal has a 60% off site wide sale going on too! The hoops are Ettika. Carolina10 is my discount code with them.

Adding the blazer instantly dressed up the outfit and gave it a party feel. It made me feel like going to a concert but for now I’ll settle for a socially distanced walk with my husband to our fave restaurant for a pickup order and back home for date night, lol.

Stay safe guys! Thanks NastyGal for continuing to put up a Stay at Home series as well as the other brands I mentioned in a previous post. Free People Movement had a fitness week of IG lives recently and the classes from different studios were amazing!
