Hi there!

Karim and I have loved our staycation in various parts of our province of Ontario, including this gorgeous vineyard. It’s fitting that the dress is from a Canadian store close to us in Toronto (it’s a Canadian chain) called The Latest Scoop. I styled alternative look-alike options on my LiketoKnow.it also, follow me there! My dress is the “ribbed knit midi dress” and comes in 5 colors. They are having a sale on sale for an additional 20% off! It’s so easy breezy to wear and can be dressed up or down. I styled it with my “Greece White Leather” Steve Madden flats, which are perfect Hermès dupes! Use code Spring40 to get 40% off this style now. Steve Madden also has a Canada site so no encountering customs fees to have it shipped internationally, etc!

My gorgeous palm earrings are from the American brand Ettika. My personal discount code for them is “Carolina10” for 10% off! I’ve worn other pieces of theirs in previous blog posts, so I will post those couple photos below for you to see those jewelry items. More pics of Ettika pieces they’ve sent me and I wear nonstop are included in my “product faves” highlight reel on my IG. Lastly, the bag is Topshop and is on sale! There’s also a Topshop Canada (I picked it up at our local mall in Toronto). I love the cute shell detail. 🐚 I also linked look-alike bags on my LiketoKnow.it profile.

I’m obsessed with the varying landscapes of Ontario! If you look at my “Toronto” highlight on my Instagram @carolinasantosread.fashion or @carolinasantosread (blog or performer pages) you will see what I mean.

I hope you are enjoying Summer:)

Audrey & Chanel-inspired

Hi there!

In my photos above I was inspired by some old Audrey Hepburn photographs I wanted to steal the look and feel from and re-create in a more modern way. I love the look of a classic Chanel-inspired tweed blazer with pockets, and Audrey's 1960s style is also so iconic in her skinny jeans, turtlenecks and loafers. So I combined the loafers and jeans with a classic silk bow and button-down blouse and topped it off with a white shimmery blazer in a Chanel-inspired look.

This Chanel-inspired blazer was an EBay find from a small boutique that hand made blazers, and they had so many beautiful ones to choose from! Many shops such as JCrew, Ann Taylor, Zara, and department stores like Bloomingdales have a variety to choose from.

My black silk blouse with bow front detail and a low neckline, and buttons in the front is by Rachael Zoe Collection, from a couple seasons back. It's one of my wardrobe staples that was worth investing in because I'll wear it again and again, so getting some high quality staple pieces is always worth it! The skinny jeans are Express and they fit me so well. I go through jeans so quickly that I stopped buying designer jeans (though if I go designer I LOVE Rag & Bone).

My accessories are my Rock Stud Valentino bag that I have been toting everywhere lately, accentuating the gold and black in my look, and a great pair of Steve Madden sparkly gold loafers. Metallics can be worn as a neutral to me, they are very much in fashion, and they are always a fun statement piece to add onto a more conservative look like this one. If you're thinking of shopping now is the time when many sales are happening so head to websites and stores and see what bargains you'll find! I am also a stylist so feel free to message me if you need wardrobe help, style advice, or personal shopping services.

Hi there!

As you can see by the looks above, I was recently invited to blogger previews at W by Worth for the Fall/Winter collection, but I waited to post until now since the looks you see above are now available for purchase. I wanted to use the opportunity as a how to wear for fall trends! For my blog I find it important that you not only get outfit inspiration, but you know how to make the look work.  If you ever need to style something and don't know how, please reach out because I love to style too, and there are a variety of ways I do that (including skype/facetime)!

One of my favorite trends I saw on runways and am seeing translated to the streets is the mini mod dress.  The two I pictured above I loved in the W by Worth lineup: the colorful tank and the black and red checkered short sleeved number which is so much fun to wear not only with a boot or heel, but with a loafer like the one I wore to the showroom (perhaps not the same color but you get the idea hehe). My gold glitter loafers are Steve Madden by the way.

I also love the bohemian vibe as you've seen from so many of my posts.  Boho chic can be dressy, casual, edgy, you name it.  In this look they've cut the dress to a shorter length and added a ruffle detail which I'm seeing everywhere and loving.  With the movement in this dress, I had to do some dancing in it.  Of course I'm a dancer too, so...you're welcome.

Another FAVE of mine at the moment is the nautical look.  I like it so much you'll see another outfit coming up of how I added a twist to the classic nautical preppy look.  But here above you can see me in their nautical high waisted skort which I would pair with tights and an over the knee boot, and a turtleneck sweater tucked into the shorts for fall.  There are so many great ways to wear this look!

These are just a few of my favorite fall trend ideas.  Tell me what yours might be! Thanks for all your great comments on my Instagram page @carolinasantosread as well.
