Resort Goes Tropical

Hi there!

It’s that resort time of year in the dead of winter where we dream of being on a beach. Whether you’re going somewhere warm (really looking forward to Mexico in March with my fiancé my brother and his fiancé) or just want to look ahead to spring looks, I put together this look that was so much fun to wear!

This one shoulder (and one long sleeve) bodysuit is by Farm Rio one of my favorite stores from Brazil that you can now shop online for in the US. I’ve blogged about some of their pieces before that I love. This was on sale, and they have lots of tropical prints in line with their Brazilian roots. I loved that it has “caju” on it which is the fruit where the cashew nut grows on. I styled it with a pair of orange belted Vici Dolls shorts and some espadrilles I bought in Italy last Spring. A side braid is always a good option in the humid climate too, since my waves get a little frizzy! I was in Miami last November where we took these photos.

Happy Resort season!

   Hi there!

The weather in New York has been getting a little bit colder slowly, and this breezy look is perfect! The off the shoulder top is a floral boho number called the Sayulita Top from Spell & The Gypsy Collective (Spell Byronbay), and the high-waisted bell bottom jeans are a recent Old Navy clearance steal for $14! The 70s retro look is back in style and with my love of bohemian style, classic rock, and gypsy wandering it couldn't be more up my alley. I am also wearing my amethyst necklace I got at Sugar Momos in Big Island, Hawaii that I blogged about in the spring. I finished off the look with my favorite oldie but goodie platforms and Kate Spade Gold Coast shimmer purse.

My hair was recently done in a balayage and we styled it wavy, which really works with the look as well. More in my Instagram @carolinasantosread to find out hair stylist details from my hair modeling shoot.

Hi there!

Here I am in Paris recently visiting the artwork at the Petit Palais, and we chose to take pictures in the gorgeous courtyard because the light was delicious!

This look embodies a few of the trends I'm most excited about currently: embroidered Denim and an off the shoulder top. Both my jeans and top are from Zara (currently) and my fuscia suede lace-up sandals are Nine West outlet (they are called Ruby 4 You). I finished the look with my favorite Ray Ban sunnies and my Celine Luggage Tote crossbody bag.

This is an effortless chic summer look that can be worn day into night and was casual and stylish as well as comfortable to travel around Paris on a beautiful day last month! I would also style the top with a skirt and the embroidered Denim looks great with a more fitted top and jacket for a more polished look as well. If you wear a billowy top I recommend a tighter jean so you're not swallowed up by the clothes. It creates a sleeker line.

Hope you're enjoying your summer so far! More travel posts coming in the next few weeks with fun summer outfit inspiration that can also transition into fall!
